Max da Silva: Well, what can I say about me, that you may want to know? I have an unhealthy obsession with living in the past and fretting about the future! I firmly believe I was born in the wrong era - or wish I was and have a strong affinity with 60's clothes and music; a heavy (early 70's) guitar riff will send shivers down my spine - every time. My art reflects me in the sense that I am fascinated with faces and bodies (especially the female). I enjoy bringing a bit of darkness into something beautiful. I have been painting and drawing all my life, but have only recently begun to 'put it out there', so welcome any comments you have about my pieces. I’ve been exploring the abstract nature of painting recently and have been stepping out of my comfort zone, to achieve something new! I love the different ideas that flow, when venturing off the familiar path... Stepping tenuously into the future...
